October 24, 2005 21:56 IST

Sporting Clube de Goa made the best of defensive lapses to score a resounding 4-1 victory over Fransa Pax and enter the semi-finals of the 27th Federation Cup football tournament, at the Nehru stadium in Margao, Goa, on Monday.

Sporting, who led 2-0 at half-time, scored through Edeh Chidi (28th minute), Dudu Omagbemi (40th, 48th) and Nicholas Rodrigues (58th).

Fransa Pax scored a consolation goal in the 65th minute through Peter Rodriuges.
