Jonathan Woodgate's calamitous start to his Real Madrid [Images] career continued on Tuesday when he scored his second own goal in three outings for the Primera Liga side.

The England [Images] defender bundled the ball into his own net after goalkeeper Diego Lopez had parried a Sergio Garcia shot into his path in the 19th minute of the Carlos Lapetra Trophy against Real Zaragoza.

The game ended 2-2, but Real lost the trophy after a penalty shoot-out.

The only good news for the Real Madrid centre-back was that he played the full 90 minutes proving that he is regaining full fitness after the thigh injury that kept him on the sidelines for 17 months.

Woodgate also scored a own goal on his league debut against Athletic Bilbao last month and was then sent off in the second half.
