Chelsea fined, West Ham warned

Champions Chelsea have been fined 30,000 pounds ($51,300) and West Ham United warned over their future conduct after crowd trouble at their League Cup tie last season.

Police in riot gear struggled to contain West Ham fans at the end of the third round match at Stamford Bridge, which Chelsea won 1-0.

Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman was hit in the face by a coin during the game 13 months ago and needed treatment to a cut above his left eye.

Both clubs, who had requested a personal hearing with the FA, were charged with failing to control their fans.
