Team India had a forgettable outing in the fifth leg of the inaugural A-1 Grand Prix motoracing series at the rain-washed Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday with Armman Ebrahim being excluded from the Feature Race.

Ebrahim, who had finished a commendable 11th in the preceding Sprint Race at the 5.54-km Circuit, collided with Pakistani driver Adam Khan in the Feature Race.

Although the 16-year-old Indian continued the race after receiving a push start from the marshals, he was eventually excluded while Pakistan never made it back to the pits.

France [Images] emerged as the winner with Alexandre Permat completing the 30 laps in one hour, 6.495 seconds. They are now at the top of the championship table with 92 points to their credit.

Switzerland's [Images] Neel Jani finished second with 1:00:11.051 while Czech Republic's Tomas Enge was third (1:00:22.184).

The Sprint Race had seen Ebrahim, who has replaced Karun Chandhok as the first driver, complete 15 laps in 29:42.935 seconds.

India have had a none-too-impressive outing in the series, dubbed as the World Cup of motorsports enjoying participation by 24 countries, and are yet to earn a point.
