Sania Mirza [Images] and Anna Chakvetadze [Images] of Russia [Images] lost in the first round of the ladies doubles event at the Wimbledon [Images] Grand Slam Tennis championships in London [Images] on Tuesday.
The Indo-Russian pair, which had reached the second round in the French Open, were defeated 6-2, 6-1 by Alina Jidkova of Russia and Tatiana Perebiynis of Ukrain.
