Shikha Uberoi reached the second round of the women's singles qualifying at the Wimbledon [Images] tennis championships in London [Images] on Tuesday.
The American of Indian origin, who played for India in the Fed Cup, defeated Natalie Grandin of South Africa [Images] 6-3, 6-2 in the first round.
Uberoi will meet the winner of the match between Maret Ani of Estonia and Viktoria Kutuzova of Ukraine.
