Indian Hockey Federation senior vice-president Narinder Batra put president KPS Gill and secretary K Jothikumaran on notice with regard to amending the IHF constitution in the context of Premier Hockey League.

Batra, in his letter to Jothikumaran, said the General Body had unanimously rejected the secretary's proposal to amend the constitution in its meeting at Hyderabad on January 30 and that he would initiate legal action "if any constitutional amendment was done without following proper procedure".

"The General Body unanimously rejected what the Hony. Secretary is referring to as Annexure 2 ... (the General Body) also stated that there is certain procedure to be adopted to do constitutional amendment and same should be followed properly," Batra wrote.

"In the context of Premier Hockey League, the new company, I specifically want to state and put both of you in notice that if any further action is taken in this regard, it will amount to fraud with IHF and with the nation.

Rejecting the minutes of both the Executive Committee meeting and the AGM of the IHF in Hyderabad submitted by Jothikumaran, Batra said they were "false and fabricated to a substantial extent and not giving true and correct picture of the proceedings".
