Indo-Pak hockey for charity

Traditional rivals India and Pakistan will come together as Indo-Pak XI and take on a World XI comprising players from Spain, Australia, Holland and Germany [Images], in a charity match to raise funds for the victims of eathquake that shook both the countries recently.

Doordarshan will telecast the match live from Mayor Radhakrishnan stadium in Chennai on Thursday, IHF secretary K Jyothikumaran said on Wednesday. The game starts at 1830 IST

The proceeds from the charity match will go to the earthquake victims.

While entry for the match will be free, fans have been urged to contribute voluntarily to the charity fund.

The Indo-Pak XI: Adrian D' Souza , Kanwalpreet Singh, V.S. Vinaya, Viren Rasquinha, Ignace Tirkey, Gagan Ajit Singh, V. Raja, Prabjoth Singh, Adam Sinclair (all from India). Salman Akbar, Zeeshan Ashraf, Rehan Butt, Shakeel Abbasi, Tariq Aziz, Muhammad Imran, Dilawar Hussain, Muddassar Ali Khan and Muhammad Shabbir (all Pakistan).
