Slovakian number two Karol Beck was handed the daunting task of trying to stop Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic when the draw for the Davis Cup final was made on Thursday.

Beck, who had been a doubt for the final with a knee injury, will take on Ljubicic, winner of nine out of nine matches in his country's march to the final, in the opening singles in the Sibamac Arena on Friday.

Slovakia's number one Dominik Hrbaty will take on Mario Ancic in the second singles of a final which is the first between unseeded nations in the history of the competition.

Ancic and Ljubicic will play Beck and Michal Mertinak in Saturday's doubles with both pairs protecting unbeaten runs through to the final.

Sunday's first reverse singles will be between Hrbaty and Ljubicic with Ancic scheduled to face Beck in the fifth rubber.

Former Wimbledon [Images] champion Goran Ivanisevic, Croatia's fourth player, was not included, although both captains can make changes to their line-ups during the course of the final.

Whoever wins the final will become only the 12th winner of the competition and the fifth different country to lift the trophy in the last five years.
