JCT Mills, Phagwara, and Fransa Pax of Goa [Images] were engaged in a goalless draw in a 17^th round match in the National Football League in Ludhiana on Friday.

The players of both the teams exhibited good footwork but failed to cut much ice. While the JCT fowardline displayed good co-ordination, the Goa side's defence gave a good account of itself.

After a first barren half, the teams went all out to snatch the lead but their attacks and counter attacks failed to bear any fruit.

JCT could have scored in the dying minutes of the encounter, but Manjit Singh's powerful volley from close was well-saved by Fransa custodian Kalyan Chubey.

With this draw, JCT have 23 points. They moved ahead of Salagoacar, while Fransa, with 26 points, are placed fourth.

In the next match in Ludhiana on April 26, JCT take on league leaders Dempo.
