Agassi claims 800th win

Andre Agassi finally claimed his 800th ATP Tour match victory with a 6-3, 6-1 first round win over American Alex Bogomolov at the Mercedes Benz Cup in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Agassi had been stuck on 799 wins since March and had lost his previous four matches, as well as missing Wimbledon due to a hip problem.

The top-seeded American, who has won eight Grand Slam titles and 58 singles titles in total, faces France's Julien Benneteau in the second round as he continues his preparations for the next Grand Slam, the U.S. Open which starts on August 30.
