Brazil still hold top spot as the Copa America begins, ahead of second-placed France, beaten 1-0 by Greece in the Euro 2004 quarter-finals when they were defending their European title.

The Czech Republic rose seven places to fourth after their semi-final finish in Portugal.

Greece beat hosts Portugal 1-0 in Sunday's European championship final.

Portugal have risen 10 places to equal 12th with Germany who fell four places after being knocked out in the Euro 2004 first round.

Spain remain in third despite being knocked out in the group stage in Portugal.

Germany could well fall further because of the lack of competitive fixtures in the run-up to the 2006 World Cup which they host.
