Manavjit, Mansher way off target

India's bad day at the shooting range continued when Manavjit Singh and Mansher Singh were way behind in the men's Trap event in the qualification round at the Markopoulo Olympic Shooting Centre in Athens on Saturday.

Giovanni Pellielo of Italy topped the standings with 74 points out of a possible 75 after three rounds.

Manavjit Singh, who totalled 71 points (22, 25 and 24 respectively in the three rounds), is in joint 16th position with Olaf Kirchstein of Germany and Maxim Kossarev of Russia.

Mansher Singh faded after starting well with a perfect score in the first round and eventually managed to total only 69 in the three rounds. He is in joint 22nd position.

The final round of the men's trap with take place on Sunday.
