Tollygunge hold JCT with late goal

An 88th minute goal by Sheikh Habib Ali helped Kolkata's Tollygunge Agragami to hold JCT Mills, Phagwara, to a 1-1 draw in an 18th round match in the eighth National Football League in Ludhiana on Friday.

JCT took an early lead in the 12th minute through Manjit Singh and held on to it till half-time.

But the Kolkata side scored the equaliser two minutes before the final whistle when Sheikh Habib Ali connected a pass from Nigerian Isiaka Awoyemi.

After today's match, Tollygunge, with 18 points, are still struggling to avoid relegation. On the other hand, JCT are on 27 points.

JCT had beaten Tollygunge 2-0 in their away encounter at Kolkata on January 15.
