Rathore tops world ranking

World Cup gold medallist Major Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has taken over the number one spot in double trap shooting in the latest world ranking issued by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).

Rathore, who had recently won the gold in the World Cup in Sydney, tops the chart with 1884 points ahead of former No. 1, USA's Walton Eller, who has 1608 points.

UAE's Ahmed Almaktoum is third with 1562 points.

The ace shooter had last year won the bronze medal in the World Shooting Championship at Nicosia, Cyprus to qualify for the Athens Olympics.
