After being repeatedly postponed, the Afro-Asian Games are finally slated to begin on October 24, with Pakistan sending the first entry.

Critics, however, argue that a general lack of interest -- among the organisers, the participants, and the public -- and preparations for the Athens Olympics next year will ensure that the Games will flop.

Should the Games just be scrapped?

These games have no significance. these are just to waste the country's exchequer and taxpayer's money. These must be stopped immediately.
