Saina Nehwal lifts U-16 crown

Teen sensation Saina Nehwal of Andhra Pradesh lifted the under-16 girls' singles crown in the Union Bank All India junior ranking badminton tournament in Bangalore, beating Maharashtra's Sonal More 11-3, 11-5 in the final on Sunday.

The girls' under-13 singles title was bagged by Andhra Pradesh's Shravani I R D, who defeated Vaishali Baria (Gujarat) 11-7, 11-6 at the Karnataka Badminton Association courts.

In the boys' under-13 singles final, Karnataka's Adiyta Prakash prevailed over Rajkumar of Punjab 15-11, 12-15, 15-8 to pick up the top prize.

Andhra Pradesh's Harsha J won the under-10 boys' singles title, getting the better of Karnataka's Vinay Hari 15-11, 15-13.
