Liberhan wins title in Uzbekistan

Tushar Liberhan of the National Tennis Academy  won the ITF Grade 4 Junior championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on Saturday.

In the final, the 16-year-old beat Marcel Khamdamov of Uzbekistan 6-2, 6-0.

Earlier, in the semi-finals, he overcame Djamalon Umarov 6-4, 6-1.

Liberhan also won the doubles event partnering Edward Khan of Uzbekistan. The Indo-Uzbek pair beat the Uzbek pair of Vladislav Shegai-Vaja Uzakov 7-6(6), 6-4 in the final.
