Schumi's Super Six!

In the Belgian Grand Prix, he was disqualified from first place and banned for two further races due to an illegal plank on his car. He was then disqualified again for ignoring a black flag at the British Grand Prix, and arrived in Adelaide just a point ahead of rival Damon Hill driving for Williams-Renault.

The German won the title after a collision with Hill on lap 32. Both drivers retired on lap 35.

Final standings: Schumacher 92 points, Hill 91.
