Isha Lakhani wins ITF title

Isha Lakhani won the women's singles title in the BSNL ITF championship, defeating seventh-seeded Shruti Dhawan 6-3, 6-4 in Indore on Saturday.

Sixth-seeded Isha played superb tennis to win the match in an hour and fifteen minutes.

The triumph earned her $650.

In the doubles final, top-seeds Shruti Dhawan and Sheetal Gautam came back strongly after losing the first set to beat second seeds Lisa Perriera and Archana Venkatraman 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-0.

The winning pair emerged richer by $325.

BSNL managing director, Indore circle, Sanjeev Seth gave away the prizes.
