Bagan rout Churchill

Defending champions Mohun Bagan drubbed Churchill Brothers 3-0 to earn full points from their 17th round National Football League match at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata on Sunday.

After medio Sunil Chhetri put Bagan into the lead in the early first-half, striker George Ekeh made it 2-0 in the 15th minute of the second session.

Nippy Brazilian striker Jose Barreto completed the tally eight minutes later.

With this victory Bagan moved to the third spot behind league leaders East Bengal and Vasco Sports Club in that order.

East Bengal are well-placed at the top with 40 points from 17 matches.

Vasco have 31 points from 17 outings.
