Tollygunge score third victory

Kolkata's Tollygunge Agragami posted their third victory in the National Football League, beating Hindustan Aeronautics, Bangalore, 2-1 on Friday.

The Kolkata side scored once in each session through Moses Noira, in the 31st minute, and off a penalty by Akeem Abolonle, in the 69th minute.

Jagadish Kumar scored HAL's goal, also off a penalty, in the 88th minute.

The winners led 1-0 at half-time.

With this win, Tollygunge increased their points tally to 10 from eight outings, with three wins, a draw and four losses, while HAL remain on four points after eight matches. They have just one win and a draw to their credit.

Tollygunge went into the lead in the 31st minute when Moses Noira made no mistake while heading the ball into the net off a pass from Sandeep Das.

They increased their lead to 2-0 when Abolonle converted from the 'spot'.

In the 88th minute, Tollygunge's Sujeet handled the ball inside the box which forced the referee to award a penalty, which Jagadish Kumar converted.
