Dempo Sports Club, Goa, dropped two vital points after being held goalless by Indian Telephone Industries in a National Football League match in Goa on Wednesday.

Despite dominating the proceedings for a major part of the match, the home side failed to translate their superiority into goals.

The draw put Dempo in fourth place with 21 points from 13 matches, while ITI remained at the bottom with four  points.

Striker E B Channa was Dempo's worst offender, missing three gilt-edged chances.  In the dying minutes, Lazarus also wasted an open chance from close.

ITI  also had their share of scoring chances. Ragui Singh, who played an inspiring game in the middle came by the best chance but his header in the dying minute was well collected by 'keeper Mondal.

Earlier, he had initated a measured cross to Jitin Rai, whose volley was saved by keeper Mondal.
