The Australian Grand Prix

David Coulthard of McLaren Mercedes defied all odds to win the Australian Grand Prix, the opening race of the 2003 Formula One season.

Juan Pablo Montoya of Williams-BMW finished second and Kimi Raikkonen of McLaren third.

Starting 11th, Coulthard found both luck and strategy playing into his hands for a 13th career win.
