Indian TT team progress in Canadian Junior Open August 28, 2003 16:13 IST The Indian boys won both their group encounters to storm into the quarter-finals of the STIGA Canadian Junior Open Table Tennis tournament being played at Edmonton, Canada. The team, comprising Sourav Chakroborty and Arunava Ganguly, blanked Canada 'B' 3-0 and then defeated Canada AB/SK 3-1 to top Group D on Wednesday night. The junior paddlers now play Korea 'B' in the last eight. In the girls section, the Indian team of Moushmi Paul and Sushmita Roy thrashed Canada 3-1 in Group A but the India 'B' team of Madhurika Patkar and Sangeetha Sheshadri lost to USA 3-1. India's main girls team now play Canada AB/SK while the second team plays Korea 'B' for a place in the knock-out stage.
