White richer by $120,000

Kelly White, who completed a golden sprint double at the World Athletics Championships in Paris on Thursday, stands to gain US $120,000 for her exertions.

As per the prize money list published by the International Association of Athletics Federations, the American, who won the women's 100 metres and 200 metres event, could earn another $20,000 if she strikes another gold from the relays.

Likewise, if Anju Bobby George can at least clinch fifth place in the women's long jump event at the World Athletics Championships in Paris, she will stand to gain $10,000.

Athletes also can win a bonus of US $100,000 for setting new world records.
