On a day when their seniors lost the bronze medal to Pakistan in the Champions Trophy, the Indian juniors drubbed their arch-rivals 5-0 to lift the Six-nation Junior Challenge Cup Hockey tournament in Poland on Sunday.

The Under-21 team needed just a draw in their last league fixture to clinch the title but they did even better. Sandeep Kumar's brilliant performance helped the team triumph

Kumar sounded the board four times after Prabodh Tirkey had opened the account for India.

Earlier, the colts won all its league fixture in impressive style to top the table and recorded the maximum points possible. They defeated Malaysia 3-0, Germany 3-0, Poland 9-1 and France 10-1.
