Bobby Aloysious misses bronze

Bobby Aloysious missed the bronze medal in the women's high jump on Tuesday at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

Bobby and Canada’s Nicole Forrester both had jumps of 1.87 metres, but Forrester took the medal because she cleared 1.87 metres in one attempt compared to Aloysious's three.

Olympic silver medallist, South Africa’s Hestrie Cloete set a new Games record with 1.96 metres and retained her title.

England's Susan Jones took the silver medal with a leap of 1.90 metres at the third attempt.

Bobby who had cleared 1.9 metres after her recent training in Moscow was expecting a medal at the event.
