JCT, Punjab Police in
goalless draw

Languishing at the bottom of the points table, JCT Mills, Phagwara, and Punjab Police played a goaless draw in a Tata National Football League match at the Guru Nanak stadium in Ludhiana on Wednesday.

JCT have six points from 11 matches, two more than 12th placed Punjab Police.

In a lacklustre display by both sides, with players hardly combining and showing any skill, JCT got a couple of good chances to take the lead but wasted them.

In the first half, Kuldip Singh (Sr) failed to convert from close. The other chance for JCT came in second half but Ram Pal muffed the chance.

The cops almost scored a minute before the final whistle but Parveen Kumar, who outwitted a couple of JCT defenders with a solo effort, however, failed to find the mark.

JCT take on Salgaocar in their next match in Ludhiana on March 2.
