JCT score first victory

JCT Mills, Phagwara, registered their first victory in the Oil PSU-seventh National Football League, beating Indian Bank, Chennai, 2-1 at Guru Nanak stadium, in Ludhiana, on Wednesday.

This was Indian Bank's second defeat from five matches.

K Yeboah and Harvinder Junior scored for JCT respectively in the fifth and second minute of injury time while the lone goal for the bankmen was scored by Mohammad Quiser in the 10th minute.

The teams were level 1-1 at half-time.

The match looked like ending in a draw till Harvinder Jr. essayed an stiff shot, following a pass from Musa Aliu, which bulged the net.

JCT Phagwara have four points from six matches while Indian Bank have five.
