Hockey camp to remain in Jammu: IHF

Indian Hockey Federation on Saturday denied that the coaching camp for the probables for Azlan Shah hockey tournament in Malaysia was being shifted out of Jammu due to the reported threat to former captain Dhanraj Pillay.

Reacting to media reports that the camp was being shifted to Ludhiana, IHF President K P S Gill said that there were no such plans. "The question of holding the camp in Ludhiana does not arise. No arrangements have been made at Ludhiana," he said.

Sources in IHF had on Friday said the camp was likely to be shifted to Ludhiana following reports that Pillay faced threats from militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.

However, Gill said all the necessary arrangements for the camp had been completed at Jammu and IHF would go ahead with it.
