Mohun Bagan lift Durand Cup

R C Prakash's magic did the trick again for Mohun Bagan. The centre-forward scored the golden goal in the second minute of extra-time to help his team beat Mahindra United 2-1 in the final and win the 113th Durand Cup football tournament in Delhi on Saturday.

The teams were locked 0-0 at half-time.

Prakash had scored both the goals for Bagan in the semi-final match against Zee Churchill Brothers on Thursday.

Mahindra went into the lead in the 64th minute when Abbas Ali Rizvi scored. But Bagan equalised in the 83rd minute, through substitute Amar Ganguly

The Calcutta giants then clinched the issue immediately into extra-time to claim the cup for the 16th time.
