send this story to a friend

Police has registered a fresh case of alleged cheating against former test cricketer Manoj Prabhakar at a police station in Haldwani in Nainital.

Senior superintendent of police Akhilesh Mehrotra said a first information report against Prabhakar and Divya Nautiyal, director of Apace India Finance Company, had been lodged by Gopal Singh, who alleged that the company had failed to return his money after maturity.

Mehrotra said a case of cheating against Prabhakar had been registered at the Haldwani police station.

He said a police team was being sent to Delhi in connection with the case.

Prabhakar's name had also surfaced during an investigation in another case against Apace India Finance Company, Mehrotra said.
