Slovenia pick largest ever contingent

Slovenia named on Friday its largest Olympic team since independence from former Yugoslavia in 1991 for next month's Sydney Games.

Seventy-four athletes will travel to Sydney, compared to the 37-strong squad which won two silver medals at the 1996 Atlanta Games.

Rowers Iztok Cop and Luka Spik are the country's brightest medal hopes after winning the double sculls at a World Cup event in Switzerland last month.
