S. Korea, Pakistan in Asia Cup hockey final

Defending champions South Korea and Pakistan will clash in the final of the fifth Asia Cup Men's Hockey tournament. Both made the grade with last-gasp semi-final victories over India and Malaysia respectively at the National Hockey stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, today.

South Korea beat India 5-4 with a goal 45 seconds from time in the first semi-final, while later, Sohail Abbas's penalty-corner goal enabled Pakistan to get the better of Malaysia 3-2 in extra-time.

The Koreans thus avenged their Asian Games loss to India, who had finished runners-up in the previous four editions of the tournament.
