That's what family and friends call Raima Sen, the dusky beauty from Kolkata

Name:
Raima Sen

Claim to fame:
Actress and model

How Net savvy are you? What would you rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10?
I would rate myself about a 6. I chat, email, surf and search. Except for downloading music, I do everything online. That's only because I am too lazy and it takes forever. In fact, my parents and sister always ask me to dig out information. I am the Internet girl for all of them. I also chat a lot on MSN with my friends in Mumbai, Calcutta and all over the world. I am quite a chat freak, in fact!

What is your daily routine like? How much time do you spend online?
I usually spend an hour and a half online. But I either get online in the night or early mornings. In the daytime, lines are usually slow and I don't really surf then.

Your idea of a perfect Web site?
Haven't really thought about it. But if I had a site then I would definitely like it have some fancy sound effects and lots of pictures. My sister Riya does have one, but I really haven't thought about putting one of my own yet. Maybe when I do, a friend who is good at graphics and web design will create it for me.

What are your favourite bookmarks?
I use Google
and Yahoo! Search frequently. Also since I have email accounts on all the possible email providers, I access these sites on a regular basis.

Do you use the Net for work?
I've got a lot of offers for work via email because I am travelling sometimes. I also use the Net when and if I have the time to do interviews online. Also when people need my pictures I usually scan them and send them via email. So the Internet does help me a lot.

I've also used it when directors ask me to look up a particular movie or read some up information.

Do you and Riya fight for the use of the computer?
When I go to Calcutta, I have to ask Riya permission to use her laptop. When she is here, Riya has to take my permission to use the PC. So we do fight sometimes, but we have our ground rules. Besides, she is not as much as a Net freak as I am.

A Web-based gadget you would like to own?
I would love to own a Web cam. Most of my friends have it.

What do you like and hate most about the Internet?
What I like most is that everybody is so accessible via the Net. I am not a letter person at all. Even before I discovered the Net, I could never write. So being online has helped me keep in touch with friends and family.

What I hate about the Internet is how addictive it can get. I could be online for hours and not realise how much time has passed.

Any strange experiences?
Luckily none. Also, since I don't chat with strangers, I am quite safe.

Any celebrity you would like to chat with?
Robert De Niro. I am a huge fan and have seen all his films. I would really love to chat with him.

If the Internet didn't exist, you would be...
Hopelessly out of touch!
