I'm very Net savvy. I'd give myself a seven.
What do you enjoy doing online?
Checking mail is the usual thing and if there are any topics I wanna read about, I surf certain sites.
What's your daily routine like? How much time do you spend online?
With my hectic shooting schedules, I don't have a daily routine as such. I don't get the time. But whenever I'm at home I'm always hooked onto the Net, downloading music or glued to my computer for something or the other.
What's your idea of a perfect Web site?
The content is most important, that's what you're looking for in the first place. The homepage should be interesting enough to motivate you to read the other pages of that site. And it should load quickly. Sometimes there are so many people trying to log into a site, that it takes ages to load.
Any favourite sites?
It basically depends on what kinda stuff I'm hunting for. If I want stuff on sports I'd check espn.com. If I'm looking for news on entertainment or music, I'd visit rediff.com or indiatimes.com. There's no favourite site as such; it depends on what I want at the moment.
Ever been ego-surfing?
Yes, I have done that. I've typed Dino Morea and checked out sites on me. There are quite a few. It's more or less the same kind of stuff that comes out in magazines.
What's your favourite Web-based gadget?
The Web phone is my favourite. Besides, I've got mics attached to my PC. That's cool! You can talk online without having to type all the time. I don't have a Web Cam yet.
What do you hate most about the Internet?
Nothing at all. The Net has brought the world closer, it's wonderful.
Have you traded stocks or downloaded music online?
I haven't traded in stocks, but I do download music. But so many people get into
kazaa.com for music and movies that it gets jammed all the time.
Any strange experience online?
It was kinda funny. I was chatting on MSN when suddenly this message pops up, "Dino Morea would like to join in" and I was like, 'Hey, I'm already here!'
Is there any one celebrity you'd love to chat online with?
Probably Al Pacino or Robert De Niro. One of those or their leading ladies.
If you could change anything about the Internet, what would it be?
I wish in India there'd be better modems and servers, so that Net access would be faster and downloading would be quicker.
If the Net didn't exist…
Things would be tougher. Once you are used to technology you can't do without it. But it would be okay.
