How Net savvy are you on a scale of one to ten?
I'd give myself a six.

What do you enjoy doing online?
I check mail, of course. I'm forever chatting on MSN and Yahoo! messengers as I have friends all over. They recommend sites on movies and music.

What's your daily routine like? How much time do you spend online?
When at home and not doing anything I'm always on the Net. I spend at least five or six hours at a stretch when I'm hooked on.

What's your idea of a perfect Web site?
It should load fast. Sometimes it takes a lot of time, which is annoying. Connecting to Hotmail is a problem. But I have an account with Rediff too and the connection is pretty good. Also, you're more geared up to chat with friends on MSN since the connection is quick. There's no problem logging on.

Any favourite sites?
We have our own sites -- modelshop.com and startalash.com -- that I always monitor. In addition, I check out Yahoo for stuff on movies, Fashion TV and Google.

Ever been ego-surfing?
Yes, I quite like those sites too. Most of the information is correct. However, the pictures are pretty old.

Is there something you'd like to buy or sell online?
I'd like to buy DVDs online, but they would have to be shipped and it would turn out quite expensive. I'm also sceptical of using my credit card.

What do you love most about the Internet? What do you hate about it?
Everything about it is nice. After all, it is information at your fingertips. You don't have to go out or call up in order to find out things. It's just there -- be it music, movies or anything else. Besides, the Net is the best way for me to keep in touch with my friends constantly.

I do hate the fact that people could tamper with your pictures. I wish there were laws to curb that.

If you could change anything about the Internet, what would it be?
I wish there could be some kind of censorship online. My nephew has access to harmful sites that aren't meant for him. I'm always keeping a watch. .

Is there any one celebrity you'd love to chat online with?
Tom Cruise.

Have you downloaded pictures or traded in stock online?
If I like a particular outfit or a photograph and if it's interesting, I store it. I don't want to comment on downloading music or else I'll be held for piracy.

What's your favourite Web-based gadget?
I'm a gizmo freak. I love gadgets like the Web Cam: you can talk while looking at the person. I'd love to own a laptop and will get one when I start travelling a lot.

If the Net didn't exist…
I'd be completely handicapped. After my mobile, it is what I find most handy.
