I have been recieving frequent emails from an unknown
person. How can I find out who the user is or where he is coming from? If i
can, how do I complain about this?

Hemant,
Due to the anonymity of email services, it is virtually impossible to
determine who the user is. However, here's what you can do: Most email
services have very strict anti-spamming laws. Therefore, if you send an
email to the customer service team of this person's email provider
(Rediffmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.), they will either warn him/her to stop,
or terminate the membership.
If you prefer to deal with this nuisance on your own, you could avail of the
'Block Sender' facility offered by most webmail services, or else use 'email
filters'. If you are using Outlook Express, visit this
site for instructions on filtering your mail. You can also follow these
instructions in order to create filters which will sort probable spam into a
separate mailbox or folder to keep it from being mixed with your regular
correspondence.
On the other hand, if you don't want to use email filters, you could try
free utilities like SpamMotel, and SpamKiller.
You can also join CAUCE, The Coalition Against
Unsolicited Commercial Email, a forum created by Netizens, which has a lot
of information, FAQs and other resources.
