March 11. 8 pm. She was Hothot105 from Indonesia; he was Manishko from India. "I asked if any of the people chatting were Indian, and he replied." For Manish, she was the first girl he had ever spoken to, online. He couldn't sleep that night.
Who would have thought describing your bad habits would make someone fall in love with you. Manish and Puja claim it was honesty about their habits and looks that helped them stand out online.
Theirs was a whirlwind affair. They were married a year ago -- within six months of their first meeting -- despite parental opposition. "We would chat for more than eight hours at a stretch," he says. "You don't force yourself to fall in love; it just happens. So I can't say whether it's better online than offline."
Distance wasn't much of an issue. They fought daily, then spent hours thinking of new ways to say sorry. And there were special moments too: "Like when we spent the entire night chatting on my birthday… I think we already knew each other so well that I could read his mind a thousand miles away."
The highlight of their romance was a first meeting at Mumbai Airport. Definitely one dream that came true for both.
