Turkish plane crashes, 9 killed

Emergency workers carry wounded passengers atop a baggage vehicle after a Turkish Airlines passenger plane with 135 people aboard crashed while trying to land at Amsterdam's Schiphol airport on Wednesday.

At least nine people died and more than 50 others injured   

The plane broke up when it hit the ground next to the runway with the tail section of the fuselage broken off, and a wide crack in the fuselage just behind the cockpit. The jetliner did not appear to be on fire.
