For Prince William [Images], it seems, all is fair in love -- just days after landing a chopper into Kate Middleton's backgarden, he is now to miss a royal wedding only to go on a holiday with his girlfriend.

The second-in-line to the British throne will take Middleton away for two weeks later this month, and as a result will not be able to attend his cousin Peter Phillips' wedding to Autumn Kelly on May 17, The Sun reported on Wednesday.

However, the Prince is said to have apologised, as an unnamed senior source was quoted by the British tabloid as saying, 'William has already got the couple's blessing'.

It may be recalled that the 25-year-old Prince got into a controversy last month for landing his 15,000 pounds-an-hour Royal Air Force chopper in the paddock of girlfriend Kate Middleton's home at Bucklebury.

Middleton and her parents Michael and Carole watched from their million-pound home as the Prince practised a series of landings and take-offs in the ten million pounds chopper during a two-hour military training exercise.

"William has been in the RAF for quite a few months and obviously wanted to show off his skills to his girlfriend. There's nothing more macho than landing a helicopter in your girlfriend's backyard. He clearly hasn't lost the hunger to impress Kate. If you've got to practise taking off and landing in a field, it might as well be one close to the prospective in-laws,' the British media had quoted a Royal insider as saying.
