The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has said the attack by the Bharatiya Janata Party workers and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on the party headquarters in New Delhi will be raised in Parliament on Monday.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi on Sunday, party general secretary Prakash Karat said, "What is worse is that the local leaders of BJP and RSS were leading the mob which threw boulders and stones on our national party headquarters in New Delhi."

According to the CP1-M leader, Delhi Mayor Aarti Mehra and leader of opposition in the Delhi Assembly Manger Ram Garg were leading the BJP, RSS  workers.

"Most political parties have expressed their solidarity with us and condemned the attack," Karat said.

He claimed that though the BJP workers had murdered some of their party workers at Kannur in Kerala, but the partymen maintained their composure."

Karat said there was no link between the Indo-US nuclear deal and the continuation of the Central government.

"We will know by tomorrow when the government is going to hold talks with the Left Parties. The US deadline is May 2008, so we have time till then to deliberate on the deal," Karat said.

The leader also urged the Centre to introduce the women's reservation bill in this session of Parliament. He said the most important issue before the government is the price rise.
