Arunachal Pradesh: Ex-CM's son kidnapped

Unidentified miscreants kidnapped three youths, including the youngest son of former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang, when they were returning from a music school near the Public Service Commission office in Itanagar on Wednesday night.

Family members of those kidnapped informed the police this morning about the kidnapping.

However, the police refused to divulge any information to media about the incident citing security reasons.

Later police sources, on condition of anonymity, disclosed that about four to five youths coming in a black Tuskin CRDI vehicle, kidnapped Gettem (son of Gegong Apang), along with two of his friends at around 2130 hrs when they were returning from Itanagar Music School.

Gettem, an avid music lover, had established the school a few months ago.

Police later recovered the abandoned vehicle inside a jungle near Hollongi on Gohpur-Itanagar road, sources informed adding, a case has been registered and investigation was on to rescue the youths.
