The United States has condemned in the 'strongest terms' the successive terror attacks in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, describing them as 'heinous acts'.

"This series of blasts were obviously heinous acts, something that we abhor. Our condolences go out to those killed and injured, and to their families. We wish them a speedy recovery," State Department's acting spokesman Gonzalo Gallegos said on Monday.

Forty nine people were killed and 145 injured in a string of bomb attacks in Ahmedabad [Images] on Saturday. A wave of bombings earlier struck Bengaluru [Images], claiming two lives.

When asked to comment on a report that a computer belonging to a US citizen has been seized because it was allegedly used to send an e-mail on behalf of an outfit that claimed the responsibility of blasts, Gallegos said, "We've seen the reports, but I don't have any more information to verify any of it.
