In a major breakthrough, the Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday arrested Jeevan Raut, the brother of kidney transplant racket kingpin Amit Kumar, from Delhi.

Raut, wanted in connection with the multi-crore rupee racket, was on the run ever since it was busted on January 24.

He was arrested from Lodhi Gardens in South Delhi on Sunday afternoon, CBI sources said.

The CBI had secured an Interpol red-corner notice against 36-year-old Raut on February 1 along with his brother, who was arrested by CBI on February 9, after being deported from Nepal.

The agency had fanned teams in various areas after Kumar had told the investigators that his brother did not accompany him to Nepal.
