The Andhra Pradesh Special Investigation Team probing the deadly twin blasts in Hyderabad is in the process of collecting information on phone calls made to Pakistan and Bangladesh a day before and after the bombings on August 25.

Thirty five calls were made to Pakistan and Bangladesh in three days from August 24, an official in the SIT told PTI Tuesday. While 25 calls were made using cellphones, 10 were from telephone booths on August 24, 25 and 26, he said.

The SIT has asked the service providers to furnish information about the calls. "We will verify the antecedents of both callers as well as receivers," the official said.

Meanwhile, police have continued their search for the missing RDX which was brought to the city in February last year.

About 100 police teams, each comprising four or five members, have fanned out across the state capital to trace the deadly explosive material. The teams are conducting intensive search and frisking of suspicious persons. Vehicles entering the city are being thoroughly checked and security has been stepped up at vital installations and places of worship.

In the backdrop of heightened threat perception, tight security arrangements were made at ISKCON and other Krishna temples, which are witnessing heavy rush of devotees on the occasion of Janmashtami.

The explosions at an open air auditorium in Lumbini Park during a lasershow and a popular eatery here had left 43 people dead. Authorities suspect the involvement of terror outfits based in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
