Terror goes to South

September 01, 2007
After a brief lull, terrorists are at it again.

This time on August 25, they targeted one of India's top IT cities, Hyderabad. Forty-four persons were killed and 50 injured in two powerful near-simultaneous blasts at the crowded Lumbini Park and at a popular eat-out on a rainy Saturday night.

The blasts have sent a shiver down Southern India's spine as it was first such terror attack in that part of the country. Even a week after the blasts, the police are groping in the dark for vital clues on the culprits.

A sketch has been released after getting vital inputs from some survivors. As usual, some were detained; some were questioned. But vital questions stare the country in the face: how long do we have to suffer?
