Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] on Friday met Philippines President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

The two leaders, who met at the at Hyderabad House in New Delhi, held a delegation level meet.

Arroyo's three-day visit is the first to India by a Philippines president in over 10 years.

The last was by then president Fidel Ramos in March 1997.

Leaders of both sides have kept up contacts on the margins of multilateral events such as meetings of the Association of South East Asian Nations.
