Continuing with their killing spree on Delhi's roads, a Blueline bus claimed one more life and injured two others on Saturday morning.

The deceased has become the bus fleet's 103rd fatal victim while the condition of two others was stated to be critical.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 8.30 am.

The bus on the route no. 621 plying between Mori Gate to Munirka ran over three persons sleeping on the pavement near Sangam Cinema in R K Puram area.

The victims were yet to be identified, they said.

The driver fled the scene soon after the mishap, police said, adding the hunt was on to arrest him.

A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered and the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem.

On Friday, a 35-year-old motorcyclist fell victim to the Blueline in west Delhi.

About 500 fatal accidents in the past three-four years have been reported.

Though the government has launched a crackdown on the errant private fleet, it said it would need one more year to take out the "killer buses" from service due to the transport requirements of Delhi.

Recently, the government cancelled permits of around 163 buses for being involved in fatal accidents twice.

During the first six months this year, at least 62,000 challans were issued by the transport and police departments to several Blueline buses for various offences such as rash and negligent driving and overspeeding.
